Black Strobe, the band of the very respected producer, Arnaud Rebotini, is back. Exciting, melodic and energetic, such is this electronic music which is proposed to us. "Back From Beyond" sounds like a perfect soundtrack of horror movie. It is enough to admit it thanks to music video in which pointvideo and music become soaked each other, cross themselves. Really gripping!

First music video stemming from the first album of European producers, The Very Best. The album "Warm Heart Of Africa" is faithful to their mixtape taken out on Internet. African influences and samples, tribal beats. Everything is here to make discovering all the African musical wealth. To evangelize, nothing better than to join to some recognized personalities. As Vampire Weekend who from the part their recognized influence of African music, were predestined to collaborate with The Very Best. Ezra Koenig, the singer of the band, is thus on this anthem track, "Warm Heart Of Africa".

It's the thunderclap of this beginning of 2010, the announcement of a decade of interbreeding in which we get lost. What is this "Babylon"? A hell or a paradise? A return to the roots or a projection towards future? Is it Fidget House, techno as the Crookers' one, tropical dubstep, new house music sounding like SoundPellegrino releases? We don't know nothing about all these, just that it is maybe a track which will stand out.

Seventies, it was disco fever. nowadays, it's disco flu. And a special flu,H1N1, for a higher temperature. Then be streaming with sweat on these furious basslines...

Merci à Nico pour son aide dans la sélection.

Let's stay in cold countries area but let's warm ourselves with a little of house music from Sweden, Shakarchi and Stranéus. Since 2008, both accomplices have not stopped producing deep house tracks inspired by dub music, absolutely hallucinogenic, introspective, transporting you in another dimension. "Clubbing in Mogadishu" is their last production, more funky, sounding such a house music classic. I do not know if it is a dream or a reality but if it is what we hear in a party in Mogadishu, I take directly my airplane ticket!

Come back to my past! A mix dedicated to hip-hop music, the one I listened to when I was teen. A selection from 1987 à 1997, a selection of famous tracks, others underground but all greats. No Nostalgia, just to satisfy an envy to dive back in a former time, the one when we raise your hands in the air like we just don't care!

I am late in my posts but I write them as many as I can. Today let us speak about Myd, a young man from Lille, who is in France what is Radioclit in England, a n electro talented producer who integrate into his music African samples, sounds, and beats. The title "Train To Bamako" is explicit, will remind the singer duet Amadou and Mariam but more crazy. It's cheerful, it's fresh, it's dancing, it is plainly good!

The two guys of The Count & Sinden, Herve and Sinden, are back with a great EP "Strange Things", on which you can listen to Fidget House on "Elephant 1234" but also to Jungle Drum'n bass on "Strange Things", an uptempo cover of a John Holt's reggae track with the same title. Massive tune!

Rubix, a Dutch DJ, is getting a bigger and bigger reputation. It is necessary to say that he surfs on the disco house wave which returns on the top, top of the charts as the success of Duck Sauce in England illustrates it. Always the same recipes, a great groovy disco sample, a house funky beat and it's done for a tour on the dancedfloor! "Baiser Sur La Disco" is the best track of Rubix and the music video is worth seeing!

One of my favoutire hip-hop labels, Big Dada, lives maybe a bend because its pure hip-hop releases are not really interesting. On the other hand, when MCs put their flow on electronic dance instrumentals, Big Dada rocks! Remember Wiley with his incredible "Wearing My Rolex"! This recipe based on 90's house and baltimore music seems the future of the label, especially when we discover this young MC, Jammer, and his "Party Animal". What an animal song!

The name Shadow Dancer does not maybe say to you much while his album "Golden Traxe" appears in the list of the albums of the year. At the menu "maximal" techno typical of the German label Boysnoize Records. In the middle of this profusion of maxi basselines , of extreme speedy breaks, we find "Drivetime", an incredible space odyssey. The fans of Vitalic will love it, for sure...

Danton Eeprom has just released out his first openly interesting electronic album. Such revolutionary as his name suggests it, the guy from Marseilles makes of "Yes Is More" an trans-style opus, mixs of rock, techno, cold wave... And prooves it with this new wave cover of a disco funk 80's track of Sister Sledge, "Lost In Music", with in addition the singer of Au Revoir Simone, Erika Forster. Unexpected and divine at the same time.

What a year for the French producer, Flairs, who, after the success of his first album, releases out a new EP which is really great. "Truckers Delight" is an instrumental electronic pop track with a little taste of psychedelism. Beyond the tune it is the music video which I like, a porno trash track race cartoon looking like an old video game which reminds "Crazy Cars", old fans of CPC6128 Amstrad will fell childish nostalgia!

As Little Boots, Florence & The Machine is an English young woman Florence Welch, musically talented. Great on stage, she has something special I can not explain which makes her scheming and really attractive. Surrounded for the recording of her first album "Lungs" by nowadays figures of production (Paul Epworth, James Ford, Steve MacKay), Florence and her machines push far her surges accompanied with masterful orchestrations. And when her cover "You' Ve Got The Love" of The Source is remixed by The XX, then we are not far from nirvana.
