Oliver Huntemann est allemand et passionné de techno depuis bien longtemps. Pour preuve, il mixait déjà cette musique synthétique dans des clubs à la fin des années 80. A la suite de centaines d’albums, de maxis et de projets, il est devenu un pilier de la scène techno même s'il reste toujours ouvert à de nouvelles influences avec ses productions house notamment.
Il a fondé son propre label, Confused Recordings, afin de mener à bien ses différents projets. 2006 est l'année pour Oliver Huntemann de sortir un nouvel album 'Fieber' qui est un savant mélange de beats tantôt lents tantôt speeds sur des sons distordus gras et même agressifs. On retrouve cette ambiance industrielle, que lui n'a jamais quittée, ce côté froid voire glacial qui nous replonge dans cet univers techno d'un ancien temps dont certains artistes comme The Hacker ou Vitalic redonnent une seconde jeunesse.
C'est sans hésitation que je choisis le morceau '37 Degree'. Tous les ingrédients indispensables à une bonne techno sont réunis : une nappe grasse et ravageuse, des filtres à effet dans tous les sens et une montée progressive en intensité qui fera monter la température du dancefloor à '37 degree'. Oliver Huntemann is German and loves techno since a long time. For sure ! He mixed already this synthetic music in clubs at the end of the Eighties. Following hundreds of albums, Eps and projects, he became a pillar of the techno scene even if he is always opened to new influences with his house productions.
