Le monde va mal actuellement et dans ces situations il faut toujours des super héros pour nous sortir de là. Heureusement les Supermayer sont là, des justiciers d'aujourd'hui toujours armés de leur slips et collants mais cachés cette fois-ci derrière leurs laptops !
Derrière Supermayer, se cachent en fait le patron du label allemand techno, Kompakt, Michael Mayer et Superpitcher, ou Askel Schaufler pour les intimes. L'association du vétérant de la techno minimale et du surdoué de la mélodie et du touche-à-tout est bluffante, pleine d'humour et généreuse. Il faut dire qu'à l'écoute de leur album "Save The World", on devine facilement le plaisir qu'ils ont eu à réaliser les 13 titres, à la fois décontractés, psychédéliques. Cette BD techno est un OVNI, alternant pop-électro "The Lonesome King", techno electronica "Us & Them", musique rave "Planet Of The Sick", expérimentations électroniques (interludes) qui renvoient à celles de la fin des années 70. Supermayer ajoutent l'histoire de la musique électronique d'une pierre à travers un album avant-gardiste et accessible grâce à des mélodies entêtantes.
Le morceau "Two Of Us" est une perle de musique trance et acid. Une boucle hypnotique obscure qui met la pression, un montée crescendo qui rendra hystérique n'importe quel dancefloor et la brève apparition d'un xylophone à la mélodie enfantine qui rend ainsi le morceau plus doux. Supermayer tient là un titre à la schizophrénie effrénée. On en redemande !

Behind Supermayer, hide in fact the owner of the German techno label, Kompakt, Michael Mayer, and Superpitcher, or Askel Schaufler for close friends. I must precise that when you listen to their album “Save The World”, we gonna easily guess the pleasure they had to produce the 13 tracks, at the same time relaxed and psychedelic. This techno cartoon is an UFO, alternating pop-electro “The Lonesome King”, techno electronica “Us & Them”, rave music “Planet Of The Sick”, electronic experiments (the interludes) which remind those of the end of the Seventies. Supermayer add in the history of electronic music a new mark through an album avant-gardist and accessible thanks to stubborning melodies.
The track “Two Of Us” is a pearl of trance and acid music. An dark and hypnotic loop which put the pressure, a incredible crescendo rise which will make hysterical any dancefloor and a short appearance of a xylophone with childish melody which gives a softer side of the trck. Supermayer hold a tune with an unrestrained schizophrenia. So we want more!
