Quand vous découvrirez Patrick et Eugene, vous serez replongés dans les années hippies avec 2 types aux cheveux longs et à la barbe oppulante, entre Cat Stevens et ZZ Top ! Alors que Patrick Dawes et Eugene Bezodis ne pénètrent le milieu musical qu'aux débuts des années 90. Mais ils entretiennent un goût immodéré pour le psychédélisme, au bon goût de Yellow Submarine, cultivent une vraie spontanéité dans leur musique à base d'humour et de folie, sorte d'invitation à les suivre dans leurs délires.
Patrick qui travaillait en 1995 avec Herbaliser, et Eugene sont autant influencés par le jazz des années 40 que le funk des années 60 ou encore la dance d'un Pepe Deluxe ou de Bushy. Avec clarinette, flûte, saxophone, melodica et autres, les deux amis produisent des morceaux qui sentent bon le passé sans être ni un hommage ou une redite. Après deux albums, "Circus Train" en 2001 et "Postcard From Summerisle" en 2004, Patrick et Eugene sortent "The Birds And The Bees" qui contient des reprises terriblement groovy et éloignées de Simon & Garfunkel, Beyoncé ou encore Kylie Minogue. C'est le coup de coeur de cet été qui a signé récemment sur Tummy Touch Records, label reconnu, pour preuve il s'agit de celui des Groove Armada, Crazy Girl ou encore Tom Vek.
Ils sont de retour avec une relecture excentrique du premier succès des Arctic Monkeys "I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor". A l'exception des paroles, ce "remix" est strictement à l'opposé de l'original où les guitares sont remplacées par un banjo, la rythmique adoucie et l'apparition de cuivres pour un côté plus voluptueux, à la limite de la contine ! Nous sommes bien loin des standards rock que représente le groupe anglais auteur de "I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor".

Whereas Patrick Dawes and Eugene Bezodis started to make music at the beginning of the Nineties. Patrick and Eugene are back with an eccentric version of the first success of Arctic Monkeys “I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor”. Except for the lyrics, this “remix” is strictly contrary to the original one where guitars are replaced by a banjo, the breaks are softened and an appearance of wind instruments for a voluptuous connotation ! We are well far from the rock'n'roll standards which represent the English band, Arctic Monkeys.
