Les deux grenoblois font leur come-back, 6 ans après leur cultissime premier opus "First Album" sorti sur Gigolo Records. Les fers de lance d'une électro-techno très eighties avaient décidé de tracer leur route chacun de leur côté. The Hacker toujours basé à Grenoble sortit son second album solo "Rêves Mécaniques", fonda son label Goodlife Records tandis que Miss Kittin toujours à Berlin enchaîna les mixes partout dans le monde, fit quelques featurings et sortit son excellent album solo "I Com".
Quelle surprise de les savoir à nouveau réunis sur un nouveau maxi qui sortira en juin sur le label de The Hacker. Deux nouveaux titres pour se replonger dans leur univers techno cold-rave. Le titre "Dimanche" porte bien son nom, dix minutes d'une électro acid idéale pour les fins de soirée (ou début de matinée !) du dimanche. Des nappes de synthé sombres qui rappelle les premiers titres de Laurent Garnier. Ennivrant et trippant à souhait !
Et surtout "Hometown", morceau typique du duo, à savoir une électro-pop vintage années 80 où la voix de la Miss opère toujours avec autant de magie. Son timbre inimitable, son accent frenchy si sexy sont toujours aussi terribles. Pourvu qu'un album suive !
The French duet makes his come-back, 6 years after their great first opus “First Album” released on Gigolo Records. The spearheads of an eighties electro-techno had decided to continue in solo. The Hacker always based in Grenoble released his second album “Rêves Mécaniques”, founded his label Goodlife Records while Miss Kittin always based in Berlin mixed worldwide, released some of her best mixes, made some featurings and produces her excellent soll album “I Com”.
What a surprise to see they record new tracks together ! Releasing a new EP which will be out in June on the label of The Hacker. Two new tracks to go back in their cold-rave techno universe. The song “Sunday” has a perfect title, ten minutes of an acid electro, exactly what we want to listen at the ends of a night (or beginning of sunday morning !). Dark keyboards which reminds the first tracks of Laurent Garnier. Totally tripping!
And especially “Hometown”, typical track of the duet, an eighties electro-pop tune where the voice of the Miss always operates with magic. Her unimitated singing style, her French accent so sexy are still terrible. Do hope an album will follow!
