Terje Bakke est un norvégien précoce. A 13 ans, il découvre la musique électronique, passion qui ne le quitta plus, passant des heures et des heures sur un logiciel bien connu des adeptes du home-studio, Fruity Loops. A 17 ans, il découvre la trance à travers Armin Van Buuren et décide qu'il deviendra DJ, s'entraînant comme un forcené derrière ses platines. C'était en 2003 ! Depuis Terje Bakke s'est fait une place de choix et un nom qui lui ouvrent les portes de la radio où il est devenu animateur, et des clubs qui s'arrachent pour l'accueillir.
Terje Bakke dispose d'un don incroyable pour faire sortir de ses machines des nappes de synthétiseur aussi sensationnelles qu'invraisemblables. Il n'y a qu'à écouter son premier morceau sorti en 2004 “Kajal – Exquisite" qui reste encore dans les annales de la musique trance. Par la suite, il s'est associé temporairement à Joni Ljungqvist pour un autre morceau d'anthologie "Fanatic" puis a commencé à diversifier ses productions, de la house progessive "Beloved Maik", "About Trust" en passant par la techno minimal comme sur son dernier maxi vraiment excellent "Nymph", sorti sur le label norvégien Lordag. C'est certainement dans ce dernier style musical que j'apprécie Terje Bakke dont la production planante convient idéalement à ce courant initié à Detroit grâce à Robert Hood, Daniel Bell ou encore Richie Hawtin et popularisé en Europe grâce à Steve Bug, au label allemand Kompakt. Fans d'Agoria, vous devriez adorer cet opus.

Terje Bakke is an early Norwegian guy. At 13 years, he discovered electronic music, passion which did not leave him any more, spending hours and hours on a well-known music software for all home-studio non-professionnal music makers, Fruity Loops. At 17 years, he discovered trance music through Armin Van Buuren and decided to become a DJ, training a lot behind his turntables. It was in 2003! Since Terje Bakke has being digging a place of choice and a name which opened the doors of a radio getting a show, and of clubs which are torn off to invite him.
Terje Bakke has an incredible talent to outlet from his machines some keyboards tablecloths as sensational as incredible. There is only to listen to his first track released in 2004 “Kajal - Exquisite” which still remains in anthems category of trance music. Thereafter, he joined temporarily Joni Ljungqvist for another anthology song “Fanatic” and then started to diversify his productions, from progessive house “Beloved Maik”, “About Trust” while passing by minimal techno as on his excellent last EP “Nymph”, released on the Norwegian label Lordag. It is certainly in the latter musical style I appreciate Terje Bakke whose planing production is ideally appropriate for this current initiated in Detroit thanks to Robert Hood, Daniel Bell or Richie Hawtin and popularized in Europe thanks to Steve Bug, the German label Kompakt. Fans of Agoria, you should adore this opus.
