Moguai est une institution en Allemagne. Caché derrière ce pseudo, André Tegeler, installé entre Düsseldorf et Dortmund s'est focalisé sur la musique depuis près de 20 ans exécutant tous les métiers possibles en relation avec cet art : producteur, musicien, organisateur de soirée, DJ et animateur radio.
Depuis le début des années 90, Moguai a réussi à développé un style très personnel et plein d'entertainment croisant techhouse, électro, breaks et pure techno. Incontournable de la scène allemande, il est toujours invité aux grandes manifestations de musique électronique comme le Nature One, le Mayday ou la Loveparade de Berlin. Dès 1998, il se fait remarquer par son hit "The Final" produit avec son ami Phil Fuldner et créa son propre label Punx en 2001 dont la première sortie "The Rock", mélange de techno minimale pour la mélodie et de rock pour la rythmique, fut un énorme succès. A retenir également ses maxis "Get On", "Freaks" sans oublier ses remixes (que je trouve moins intéressants) pour X-Press2, Fischerspooner, 2raumwohnung.
De retour avec un EP qui décape, Moguai présente son "Ataque" qui, quelque soit la version originale, remixée par Guy Gerber ou Meat Katie, est son retour dans le uptempo. Le morceau semble être une excursion dans la nuit tokyoite au reflet dynamique et vif, à l'ambiance noire et urbaine.
