Qu'importe, car c'est ce qu'il faut pour être repris dans la publicité, preuve d’une certaine facilité d’écoute. Ce mélange estampillé électro-tango-lounge ne pouvait que nous apporter quelques doutes sur un second volet. "Lunatico" sorti également sur le label XL qui accueille The Raconteurs de Jack White, ou encore Thom Yorke de Radiohead qui sortira d'ici quelques mois un album solo "The Eraser", est une surprise d'un niveau supérieur à son prédécesseur. "Lunatico"est plus «acoustique», l’électronique y étant certainement mieux utilisé et donc plus discret. Alternant tempo élevé ou ralenti, l'esprit percutant et mélancolique du tango est là, enrichi par la voix suave et profonde de Cristina Vilallonga. Le tubesque "Diferente" devrait mettre tout le monde d'accord. A retenir également cette fusion entre tango et rap avec le titre "Mi Confesion". Sans être l'album de l'année, Gotan Project a réussi à passer le second tour.
Le vrai bijou de "Lunatico" est le dernier morceau de l'album "Paris, Texas". Il s'agit d'un clin d’œil au film de Wim Wenders qui croise avec brio tango, douce mélancolie et ambiance cinématographique. A l'image du tango, classe et voluptueux.
