Boca 45, Scott Hendy pour les intimes, est un DJ de Bristol, patrie du Trip-Hop. Serait-ce un hasard alors si cet homme est aussi la moitié de Dynamo Productions, l'autre étant Andy Smith, DJ de Portishead ? Passionné de football (Boca en référence à Boca Junior) et de vieux vinyles (45 en référence aux 45 révolutions par minute des singles), Boca 45 est l'un des producteurs et mixeurs les plus en vue de la scène électro-jazz du Royaume-Uni. Après avoir sorti des titres sur des labels obscurs devenus cultes (Hombre, Illicit, Superslick Stereo Sounds, High Noon Records), le jeune homme signe sur Grand Central, mythique label mancunéen (Rae & Christian, Aim, Jon Kennedy, Riton, Kate Rogers) .
Il sort ainsi son premier album en 2004 sous le titre Pitch Sounds (toute référence au Pets Sounds des Beach Boys n'a rien de fortuit). L'opus résume parfaitement les compétences de Boca 45 dès qu'on lui donne l'occasion de se glisser derrière ses platines avec son sampler et sa collection de skeuds. Boca 45, comme le prouve son single 'Down To Mexico', perpétue la légende de Bristol, ville bastion de la musique.
La réussite de cet album s'intitule cependant 'Stand Up', réinterprétée par Geoff Barrow (Portishead). Un sample qui tourne et retourne se reposant sur le flow sans concession de Profile. Quelle réussite !

He released his first album in 2004, 'Pitch Sounds' (any reference to the Sounds Farts of Beach Boys does not have anything fortuitous). The opus summarizes perfectly competences of Boca 45 as soon as one gives to him the opportunity to slip behind his turntables with his sampler and his collection of vinyls. Boca 45, as his single ' Down To Mexico City proves it ', perpetuates the Bristol-board legend, bastion city of the music.
The success of this album is entitled 'Up Stand however', reinterpreted by Geoff Barrow (Portishead). A sample which turns and turns over resting on the flow without concession of Profiles. What a success !
