Urbs de son vrai nom Paul Nawrata est un DJ autrichien qui sévit depuis 15 ans. Depuis 1997, il multiplie les collaborations comme avec DJ Chaoz sur le label 'Uptight Records' ou encore DJ Cutex avec qui il sort l'album 'Break of Dawn' sur 'Hongkong Records'. Il signe également quelque remixes pour Thievery Corporation entre autre.
Il signe en 2003 sur le label autrichien G-Stone dirigé par le fameux tandem Kruder/Dorfmeister et vien de sortir un album intitulé 'Toujours le même film' imprégné du concept de la BO aux accents jazzy assez prononcés notamment des années 50. Musique élégante, mélodies simples et touchantes, Urbs nous gratifie d'un album agréable sans être novateur.
Le titre 'So Weit' est voué à tourner en boucle tant il hypnotise l'esprit et touche par sa sensibilité. La voix de la chanteuse associée à merveille au piano donne un impression de paix et d'insouciance. Raffraichissant !

Since 1997, he multiplies collaborations for example with DJ Chaoz on the label 'Uptight Records' or with DJ Cutex and their album 'Station-wagon of Dawn' on the label 'Hongkong Records'. He also made some remixes for Thievery Corporation amongst other things.
He signs in 2003 on the Austrian label 'G-Stone' directed by the famous Kruder & Dorfmeister tandem and has just released a new album entitled 'Toujours le même film' inspired by the concept of soundtracks to the rather marked jazzy accents in particular of the Fifties. Elegant music, simple and touching melodies, Urbs gratifies us of a pleasant album without being such innovative.
The track 'So Weit' is dedicated to stay in your mp3 player so much it hypnotizes the spirit and touches by its sensitivity. The voice of the singer well associated with the piano melody gives an impression of peace and unconcern. So sweet !
