Wolf Myer est un autrichien qui officiait en tant qu'attaché de presse et manager pour la grosse company Sony Music. En parallèle de cette activité, il enchaînait en tant que batteur les concerts, des lives ont la réputation de rester graver dans la mémoire des spectateurs. Une activité pour se nourrir, une seconde pour s'épanouir. Et finalement il décide de se lancer complètement dans l'aventure et se focaliser sur son projet : le Wolf Myer Orchestra.
Son créneau, c'est le nu-jazz, un groove intimiste. Il s'entoure d'une trentaine de musiciens et chanteurs, dont Parov Stelar pour enregistrer "Femme Fatale", sorti sur Etage Noir Recordings. La passion, l'émotion and les autres grands sujets de la vie sont les fils conducteurs de l'album. Un résultat vif enracinée dans le jazz tout en dépassant les frontières du genre. On se prend à naviguer à travers les 8 morceaux que comporte l'album, entre la pop ("Quicksand", "Hell"), le trip-hop ("Get Up" aux airs de Portishead, "Caught" très Massive Attack) et le soul-jazz. Ce mélange analogique et digital développe chez l'auditeur une sorte d'état second où précipitations et rejets n'ont plus lieu d'exister. Du travail de pro !
"Soulgate" ouvre l'album sur une note de R&B. On a l'impression de découvrir un titre produit par Dr Dre pour Blu Cantrell ("Breathe"). Pas de sample ici, de la composition pure, une chanteuse Lilith qui intéressera à coups sûr de nombreux producteurs américaines et un solo de clarinette en bonus !

His crenel is the nu-jazz, a intimist groove. He is surrounded by about thirty musicians and singers, of whom Parov Stelar to record “Femme fatale”, released on Etage Noir Recordings. Passion, emotion and other main life subjects are the conducting wire of this album. A sharp result rooted in jazz music while exceeding the borders of this style.
