Sa musique dispose d'un tel pouvoir sur les énergies et les émotions qu'elle cultive. Dès les années 60, Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, Os Mutantes, Tom Zé et autres sont des ambassadeurs de la samba, la bossa... Les années passent, les médias (radio, télé et maintenant internet) ouvrent des perspectives que les artistes brésiliens s'approprient.
Le Brésil est un pays de mutations et d'inspirations toujours ouvert au progrès, à l'évolution. Et la musique brésilienne s'adaptent, elle aussi évoluant avec audace. Les influences arrivent de partout et sont revues et corrigées à la manière locale : pop (Seu Jorge), rock (CSS), hip-hop (Marcelo D2), électro (Amon Tobin), drum & bass (DJ Marky & XRS). Parmi la foule de compilations sur les nouvelles scènes musicales, une sort du lot, c'est celle RKK, alias Rémy Kolpa Kopoul, un des spécialistes des sons made in brasil. Journaliste à Libération, animateur sur Radio Nova, programmateur de festivals et DJ, RKK nous livre une écoute d'un Brésil futuriste à fois singulier et décliné dans tous les styles ainsi relookés. Anvil FX est né à la fin des 60 et découvre la musique électronique dès les années grâce "Autobahn" de Kraftwerk. Rêvant jeune d'un synthétiseur, ses parents lui offrent un violon. Qu'importe si la musique électronique ne vient pas à lui, c'est Pablo Robers Castro, son vrai nom, qui ira à elle après quelques détours dans le rock et le punk au sein de groupes obscurs. Dès 1999, il se concentre sur les machines et invente une certaine vision de la musique brésilienne, à la fois fidèle et si novateur pourtant. "Sambinha Do Piscapunga" est une invitation à la fête, une fête sur Copa Cabana où tous les bienvenus pour se déhanchés sur une Drum & Bass Bossa si entraînante et si gaie.
